Today I bring you images of simple living in Provence.
La Ferme de la Celestine where time is taken to enjoy life.
Beautiful baskets, exceptional and traditional pottery and home grown vegetables are sold here.
René and Magali learned their crafts from their families and are continuing the tradition of living from their own production.
They welcome buyers to their home, at the end of a long country path. Here they offer home made jams, home grown vegetables and of course the pottery and baskets so dear to them.
When I met Magali she showed me her collection of pottery that has come down through the generations, including her great grandmother's water pitchers.
She explained how she reproduces an old technique called 'poterie jaspée', using a mix of different coloured clays
Their simple home and potager look as if they have been unwittingly styled for a photo shoot, the sort of magical encounter that I so love.
Magali, René and their son soon hope to be selling some of their pieces on line. In the meantime, if you want more information or if you wish to contact them, you can find their details here
