More inspiring home offices
I am finally redesigning and putting some order in my home office {Merci, Ikea!}, so any picture of a clean, clutter free desk ends up on my moodboard this week. I realize that having a minimal work space is extremely hard to achieve, because without any color, a workspace is cold and impersonal, and too much color ends up looking messy and cluttered. These desks have it all : minimal mood, yet a dash of color gives them a homy and feminine feel. Love these, a whole lot...

Home office inspiration
I am trying to re-organize my [very messy] office space and looking at these... I don't think I will ever be able to achieve such a harmonious work space. Don't get me wrong, these all look fantastic, but in my world, give it a couple of hours before the dog's toys sit on the floor, the kids' Crayolas lay on the ultra minimalist table and my shipping boxes' leftover cardboard skeletons by the office trash can. Nevertheless, I feel very inspired by these workspaces. Which one would you be the most productive in?

Today, I am loving this minimalist workspace with its colorful Japanese taped moodbaord. Just the perfect picture to welcome the sunny month of June!

Monday!
Hello Monday and happy new week to you! My week is going to be super busy but I am all cheered up because this week, we're saying goodbye to May and hello to June - and June means summer, and shorts and flip-flops, and outdoor grilling, and popsicles and swimming... Oups, back to work, it's Monday. Happy Monday my dear! Xo, Si-

Oh la la, j'aime...
Today I am loving this workspace/ office. I don't know if it is the unexpected combination of smoked grey and purple walls - which I would never have dared to try - or the feminine touch brought through the photo mood board or the pink desk top that offset the raw industrial features of the room (pipes, steel door).
Let's just keep it simple, j'adore!

Binny and Graham's London Townhouse
Binny is a stylist and florist. She collects all sorts of gadgets. Graham shares her passion for collecting vintage pieces but his loves are old photos and movie projectors. Along, with architect Philip Wagner, they imagined a new three-storey town house in the heart of London that seems to belong to the past. No one could imagine that this townhouse is not a few hundred years old... and this yard... so British, so pretty... so luxurious, you almost forget you have Big Ben as a neighbor!

Office Spaces
In our ideal home, we all have a dedicated room for home office. But in the real world where every square foot counts in a house, a spare room is not always available. These are ideas for designing a "home office" corner in your living areas...
If you do have the a spare room for home office, you will still want to use the minimum space for your desk and live the room as "traffic-flowing" friendly as possible : the less clutter, the better the creativity and concentration. Use a whole wall as a built-in-shelf desk (see picture 2), custom build wood rectangle boxes as shelving units (super easy to do yourself if you don't have the budget for a professional carpenter). Above all, be creative, and have fun!
Happy Designing!
