Escape to Mallorca

Can you tell from my previous post today that I'm not in a happy monday mode? Yeah, I wish I was still on weekend - or on vacation, yes, that would work too. So I decided to travel today, at least in my mind, to Mallorca, Spain. This gorgeous home there has such amazing natural light and rustic details, it might just be what I need today to cheer up and embrace the new week. Yeah, it's monday! ;-)

An antique dealer's loft

Arantza is a Spanish antique dealer. Her house is white yet colorful, fresh and vibrant, and very personal : artwork, books and vintage pieces are gloriously celebrated in her Bilbao loft. I am dying over the Kub tin collection... Magique!

A Barcelona flat

I am loving this dreamy space in Barcelona, discovered via Interiors. Vintage pieces and red kilims, white tinted concrete floors and floor pillows everywhere, juste comme j'aime!

A Madrid Flat

This Madrid flat is filled with natural light and its owners added lots of faux fur and textured accents to give it a comfy and cosy style.  I really like the mix of scandinavian pieces and industrial furniture (oh, look at the rolling low coffee table with huge casters!) Special crush for the cardboard 3D deer trophy - I'd never, ever have any animal parts displayed in my house, but I can do cardboard. I love it!

House tour : Lisi + Alex

Home of Lisi, Alex and little Simon, this Barcelona house was remodeled by interior design studio Mis Mas. Mis Mas greatly respected the old building materials {check out the tiles!} yet made the necessary changes for a more contemporary look. C'est vraiment tres tres beau!

Bohemian Chic

This bohemian chic apartment located in Madrid Spain belongs to interior stylist Maria Muro.  I love the electic mix of furniture and use of powerful colors that give this apartment a sophisticated and feminine yet comfy and cosy feel. Special crush for this dark navy wall color in the entryway that highlights so well the vintage cabinet and antique sculptures.

A certain kind of light

The owners of this Spanish home decided to let the walls literally speak and went for a very minimalist tone in the furniture and decor. Look at these stone walls, volumes, and the way the light filters in the rooms and seem to be part of the furniture. My favorite is definitely the reading area with the rattan hanging chair and the open shelf library. Magnifique!
