the candle chandelier

How I love candle light ... it is kind on  the  face,  soft and romantic,

 and ideal for adding a wow factor to a table inside or out.

Here, in the height of summer, we use candles at every meal.  Small nightlights in jam jars,

 tall candles in glass votives and mismatched candles in candelabra and on chandeliers.

For a while I used tall candles on chandeliers over our garden dining table, but the slightest breeze bringing drops of wax down onto food and guests put an end to that!

Of course candle light doesn't mean we can see what we are eating!   No matter how many candles I throw at a table, it's tricky to see what is on the plate!

 But while I always give my guests the choice : the vision or the romance? ...... 

 candles win every time!
