Well they say that every cloud has a silver lining ... hmmm...
Clouds are on our minds a lot these days as we have way too much rain for the season, and I have to say that their colour is closer to pewter or even lead than silver ...
But as I put together this little bouquet, I decided to be positive and realised that the rain on the garden table, did allow for a turquoise reflection of my old shutter backdrop .... I'm trying hard here!
Originally I had high hopes of a beautiful dome of crimson hawthorn, using this antique frog on a silver pedestal, but the hawthorn wasn't in the slightest bit interested in playing that game. Bluntly refusing to point downwards, the result looked more like an explosion than anything else.
Plan B saw me reach for a little sauce boat. It needed some florist foam, but in the end the hawthorn and a few branches from the box bushes and it was done.
With a protection over the camera and a coat over me, the photos were quickly shot and the result whisked inside to goad us into believing that it is nearly summer.
Hey- ho!
