When I showed my Easter loot shoot, you may have noticed two big boxes full of antique lace and passementerie.
This week I had time to take a proper look and thought you may like to see some of the contents.
There are several old newspapers and wrapping paper in the box, that confirms the dates between 1860 and 1902! The beaded lace pieces are elements that would have been sewn onto ladies dresses; many around the neck line, but others scattered across a billowing skirt, or along a cuff.
Today they are like individual handmade pieces of costume jewellery. They could be worn as necklaces, sewn onto a special dress or even used for pillows ....
but I'd love to hear your ideas too ... what do you think I should do with these bundles of treasure?
