I always like to add a few touches of Christmas to the kitchen.
One year I had a big tree in the kitchen and another I had a smaller one on the island.
and a favorite holiday saying on the chalkboard in the breakfast area.
Simple but Christmasy.
I also wanted to share a favorite Christmas cookie~ Fudgy Bon Bons
I have been making these for years- and the recipe is from Pillsbury.
1 12 oz package chocolate chips
1/4 cup butter
1 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
1/2 cup finely chopped nuts (if desired)
2 c flour
1 tsp vanilla
60 unwrapped Hersheys hugs or kisses
2 oz white chocolate
1 tsp shortening or oil
1. Heat oven to 350. In medium saucepan combine chocolate chips & margarine
Cook over low heat- stirring until melted ( will be thick) Add sweetened condensed milk
and mix well.
2. In a large bowl
mix flour, nuts, chocolate mixture and vanilla and mix well.
Shape cookie dough around the kiss covering completely
3. Place 1" apart on cookie sheet and bake for 8 minutes.
Do not overbake- cookies will be shiny.
Remove from cookie sheet to cool.
4. Mix the white chocolate and oil and drizzle over baked cookies.
5. Be prepared to eat a BUNCH of them... don't ask me how I know. ;)

I have also made them with peanut butter cups and kisses with almonds inside.
Delish.
Happy Sunday Everyone.
